Details
This is a computer software that runs in the background so as to not impede any functionality of the device. The user's screen is randomly scanned every 20, 30, or 60 seconds for content with categorized in these three classifications:

Hentai - hentai (artistic/anime) and pornographic drawings.

Sexy - sexually explicit images, not pornography.

Porn - pornographic images, sexual acts.
If one of such categories of inappropriate content are recognized by Vigilant, an email or text message will be sent to an accountability partner notifying them to check their account. Blurred screenshots with detected content are uploaded to the user's account.

The accountability partner will get a message in real-time notifying of concerning content with a blurred picture of the concerning material detected. All image edits are made locally on your computer for your security.

What was viewed after something was detected?
Did the user continue to look? Or did they move on? 6 Screenshots are taken every 3 seconds to help the accountability partner know how the user handled the situation.
The accountability partner can be a parent, spouse, or other trusted individual. The user is not notified each time the program has scanned the screen and detected inappropriate content. The program runs in the background for seamless use on your device.

Customizable software allows for the accountability partner to set settings such as detection notifications for the viewer, facial recognition, frequency of checks, and custom sensitivity.*​​
The accountability partner also gets an email notification or text message when the program has been stopped.
Our goal wasn't to create software that relies solely on website blocking or other gimmiky features, especially since some legitimate sites might get flagged incorrectly and some seemingly fine websites could have concerning content. Just knowing that the user is being monitored takes care of 90% of problems that could arise preventing further viewing of pornographic content.
